After nine months in Timor-Leste, I’m taking a holiday. Not far: only a couple of hours away, to Bali. I hope to get some serious downtime - but, in fact, I’m taking advantage of the international-standard, and relatively cheap (compared to the UK) dental clinics to get much-needed work done on my teeth. Not to mention shopping: there are many good things about life in Timor-Leste, but the fact remains that it’s one of the most expensive places in south-east Asia.

All of which has meant a frantic past week to clear my desk, which hasn’t left time for writing. So, another break this weekend. Sorry.

I’ll be using my holiday time to get articles done, though, so next week you’ll hear about my third trip to Oswestry, and how I finally made it to Sycharth.
